Description
Manage your emotional state by managing your heart rate variability. There is a strong connection between our emotional state of mind and the variation between our heart beats (called heart rate variability, HRV). When heart rate variability is low, you are more prone to health concerns and states like depression and anxiety. Increasing and maintaining a higher heart rate variability is good for both your physical AND mental health! This audio, based on decades of scientific research into this area, will train you to increase your heart rate variability, which will contribute to improved health and wellbeing.
About Marc
Marc is a registered international counsellor, supervisor and educator “with a twist”. He looks at life through a different lens, with a transpersonal, even “spiritual” filter. Expect to discuss life from a bigger perspective, while still being very practical; and expect to work from the inside out: YOU will change before your circumstances will. Marc works in 1-1 settings, and also conducts group workshops and trainings, primarily focusing on Mindfulness-based approaches.
Before his transition to mental health, Marc worked as barrister and solicitor for nearly 10 years in his country of birth, the Netherlands. He has been involved in training and teaching in Counselling, Mental Health and Social Sciences since 2015, in both Vocational and Higher Education settings.
Marc is a graduate from the Master of Counselling program at the University of the Sunshine Coast, and teaches at that University on a sessional basis.
